Kane Reaches Agreement on New Contract at Bayern

FC Bayern and Harry Kane have reached a verbal agreement in principle on a new long-term contract running through June 2029, and the salary terms have also been settled, according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, citing Sky reporter Michael Bridge.

The contract documents are now with the lawyers, who are reviewing the deal and are expected to approve it for signing. Both the contract term and the financial terms have already been negotiated, the report says, so only the final legal formalities remain.

Kane’s current contract runs through the summer of 2027. The new deal would tie the 33-year-old to the club for two more years. Although the specific new annual salary has not been publicly disclosed, an agreement on compensation is reportedly in place.

Bayern Signals Long-Term Plans

Bayern officials have repeatedly made clear in recent months that they plan for the long term with their star striker. Kane has also signaled on several occasions that he feels at home in Munich and is open to staying longer.

Most recently, sporting director Max Eberl said talks were going well but had not yet been finalized, adding that some details still needed to be worked out. Since then, the situation has moved closer to completion, and the signing could take place once the documents are reviewed and approved.

If finalized, the deal would settle one of the most important questions about the future of the Bayern squad. Kane wants to stay, and both sides have reportedly agreed on the contract term and salary.
